{On Trend: Concrete Countertops}

{source}

Concrete countertops are giving Granite a run for its money.
Used in bathrooms, laundry rooms and most often kitchens, this new material is rapidly gaining traction in the design world. Concrete is attractive for its simple and natural look as well as its uniqueness; each piece is handcrafted.

It is easy to assume you will save by choosing Concrete over the well-known pricier options but that isn't really the case. Concrete falls within the range of $65-$135/square foot. This price is on par with Granite, which goes for anywhere from $45-$200/square foot.

How do you know if Concrete is the right choice for your home?

Here's How:
-you value craftsmanship; concrete counters are handmade and finished
-you want to use a unique material that you won't find in every home
-you find granite to be either too shiny, busy or common
-your home is contemporary
-you have a farmhouse or natural aesthetic throughout
