{Celebrity Home: Kim & Kanye}

Kim & Kanye are throwing in the towel. No, not on their relationship but rather on the Bel Air mansion they have been tediously building over the course of this past year.  They have instead set their sights on a $20 million dollar, Hidden Hills mansion.  The 8,000 square foot home boasts 8 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms and is closer to Kim's mother. Added bonus: it's has it's own vineyard.

 I must say for the often showy Kardashians it's a beautiful, tasteful home.

Kim, don't change a thing!

Love the soothing gray and white palette. Lusting after those wood floors. Beautiful!

{Thirsty Thursday: DIY Ikea Addition}

I love saving money - don't we all? And I doubly love working with my hands to create something for my space that is all my own. The pride you have every time you pass this handcrafted item is worth its weight in gold.

Here are three inexpensive ikea furniture pieces that with a little paint, hardware change, love and TLC were turned into showstoppers.

{On Trend: Concrete Countertops}

{source}

Concrete countertops are giving Granite a run for its money.
Used in bathrooms, laundry rooms and most often kitchens, this new material is rapidly gaining traction in the design world. Concrete is attractive for its simple and natural look as well as its uniqueness; each piece is handcrafted.

It is easy to assume you will save by choosing Concrete over the well-known pricier options but that isn't really the case. Concrete falls within the range of $65-$135/square foot. This price is on par with Granite, which goes for anywhere from $45-$200/square foot.

How do you know if Concrete is the right choice for your home?

Here's How:
-you value craftsmanship; concrete counters are handmade and finished
-you want to use a unique material that you won't find in every home
-you find granite to be either too shiny, busy or common
-your home is contemporary
-you have a farmhouse or natural aesthetic throughout

Concrete Quick Facts:
-It is very durable and stain resistant
-It doesn't need to be sealed every year unlike granite
-It is available in different colors
-It can be used indoors and outdoors (great for outdoor kitchens!)
-Less seams needed: Maximum length per slab is 10 feet, far exceeding that of other counter materials
-It is easy to add curves
-Concrete can be used vertically for back splashes

{Fashion Friday: Spa Bathroom}

It's Fashion Friday! Woohoo!! Our inspo this week is an outfit I am loving. It is so classic and easy. The stripes in the skirt immediately reminded me of some Zara towels I have been coveting. Yes, Zara has a housewares department!
….From there our bathroom was born.
Enjoy!
