{Unexpected Places for Wallpaper}

Wallpaper is making a strong comeback thanks to fresh new designs and interesting patterns.  Once a way to add a very traditional feel to a spot like the dining room, wallpapers now work just about anywhere thanks to whimsical and trendy prints. No longer formal & stuffy, wallpaper is a great way to add a shot of style to any room. They even make some peel & stick varieties now for the commitment-phobes among us.

Get your creative thinking cap on…we're going to show you some interesting places you can use wallpaper in your home.

{Fashion Friday: Lucite}

Lucite is the hot material right now in both fashion & home decor. Lucite accessories like bracelets and bags modernize any outfit while lucite "ghost chairs" are a great addition to a home office or eating area. I love when they are used as an unexpected touch to balance a traditional decor scheme. You can even get really daring and add a fun colored ghost chair to your room.

{Thirsty Thursday: Best Buys}

The best way for me to channel my shopping bug (so I don't go totally broke!) is to share these incredible buys with you all instead.
These trendy finds make our list of best buys…
But first you'll need a refreshing drink as you drool over our list

THE LIST
This lucite letter will jazz up and personalize any desk space. Paired with a unique vase filled with a bright peony and voila, your office is inspired.
These industrial stools come in an array of colors and would be a fun pick for a craft or kids playroom. Create a counter mounted against the wall as a place for coloring, crafting or even opening mail. Add these stools as your punch of cool.
This wingback headboard screams luxury without the expensive price tag.
A unique way to bring attention to your most treasured items.
Forget the single pendant - hang a collection of these different shaped lights over your kitchen island for maximum impact.
This ladder, made of reclaimed wood, is the perfect addition to a bathroom. Hang bath towels from it and even place small potted pants on the rungs. It somehow gives the bathroom a peaceful spa feeling, especially when paired with pale blue.

Design Inspo: Bachelorette Emily Maynard's Country Wedding

The former Bachelorette, Emily Maynard, was recently married to Tyler Johnson, who she met in church, in a beautiful country wedding. The decor was the perfect marriage (no pun intended!) of girly & rustic elements.

The design was so beautiful it got me thinking… hey, this style would actually translate well to home decor to create a beautiful room. So, we're sharing some ways you can use her beautiful wedding design in your own home.

{Fashion Friday: Stripes & Plaid}

It's Fashion Friday and though I can't say she's my favorite (poor thing), Gwyneth Paltrow's stylish outfit is the inspiration for this boy's bedroom.  Complete with resource so you can recreate. Enjoy!

{Thirsty Thursday: The Ugly Duckling}

It's Thirsty Thursday!
Cheers!
{Drink Me}
I learned in design school that every room is well served when a traditionally "ugly" color is introduced. This creates a contrast against the colors in your palette that you love so that they can shine even more brightly. Though counterintuitive, adding a color you hate to your palette ultimately creates a rich design with the "it" factor people won't quite be able to explain but will most certainly fall head over heels for.

These rooms have just the right amount of "ugly"

{A Touch of Mustard Yellow}
{A Shot Of Celery In A Muted Scheme}
{Pumpkin OrangeWith Soft Colors}
{Earthy Brown Pillows Ground Purple}
